Nice convenient upscale restaurant with parking. Fantastic attentive service without being overbearing.
Yes, wide wine selection & full bar. Kept water glasses full.
Dinner for 6 group first rate.
Lobster Mac & cheese, mega burger, salmon, scallops, prime steaks. All marvelous.
Upscale prices yet better than S&S on this side of town.
Good for client entertainment. -

I would not call this restaurant "up-scale" but it's cozy and welcoming. I sat at the bar and ended up ordering the Coconut Shrimp and a medium-rare Cowboy Ribeye. Coconut Shrimp was fine but nothing extraordinary. But as I sat there waiting for my steak, the cooks appeared to be in high school or maybe just started college...Idk but I don't factor age in culinary skill but when they start to play with my raw steak and make gagging noises before throwing it on the grill, that raised some serious red flags. Steak came out to be medium - well done and the mashed potatoes was over powering in garlic. Serious disappointment for a $45 meal.

This is mine and my husband's favorite spot when we're back in Wichita for a weekend. Sure, new restaurants have popped up that we've tried that are newer, trendier, maybe better-- but we've been coming here for 7 years and as long as Wine Dive is around it'll hold a nostalgia that no other place has for us. That being said, the atmosphere is casual and the service is always friendly. At our most recent visit, we started with the queso fundido and the fried oysters. The queso I thought was on the oily side and not my favourite, but it came with a lot of veggies and bread to dip. I'd probably skip this in the future. The fried oysters were yummy. I particularly like the balsamic glaze drizzled on them. I ordered the duck confit for dinner - yum! The duck fell right off the bone and melted in your mouth. The skin was crisp and flavorful. I highly recommend it!

One of my favorite nice restaurants to eat, it helps that it's in the perfect location for myself! Have had some of the BEST meals here. The food is perfect; the dishes they serve are simply beautiful, the array of seafood dishes to please my salty taste buds, the non traditional meals that aren't what you'd normally find on a fancy restaurants menu but are oh so delicious, and the QUALITY of the food is the best.
I love the atmosphere. Its "cozy" and perfect for dates in the evening, during the day it's bright and inviting! They have a patio for those evenings when you just want to sit, drink some wine, and watch that gorgeous Wichita sunset. The staff has always been incredible. This is a place you can go, and not have to worry about a single thing, because they take care of everything.
Once, I ordered the scallops on risotto meal, and as it was brought out and placed in front of me, the manager was right behind the server with a plate with two extra scallops just because he didn't like the size I had received! And these are the huge scallops, the expensive, and utterly mouth watering kind. That's the kind of service you can expect at Mike's Wine Dive.
I always highly recommend this place if your really into wine as well. They actually train the staff on wine. So you won't get a basic answer to your "What do you recommend from the wine list?" question, instead they actually are very knowledgeable!
And another, this one's a secret, because I really just want to keep the information all for myself but I'll share....try the burger. I'm pretty sure it's on the lunch and dinner menu, but it's just the "Dive burger". It is literally the BEST burger I have ever, EVER eaten. Yeah, I said that, that takes commitment! It's the gourmet beef mixed with bacon that makes it melt in your mouth and so so juicy. Topped with melty savory Gruyere cheese. And those tender caramelized onions! Garlic jam & Dijon aioli give it a sweet touch, that is the "cherry on top". I have plans for this burger in my future, a LOT! -

The Wine Dive is always a great time experience. I've eaten here several occasions, and I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend the ribeye,
, burgers, scallops, and breakfast hash. The service and atmosphere is always amazing. They an extensive wine menu, if you enjoy wine you will definitely find something to quench your pallet.
